Elbo Controlli-NIKKEN E236N Tool Presetter

Our new E236N Tool Presetting machine has been developed as the entry level option for our new generation of advanced tool presetting machines.

Designed to be bench mounted the E236N features a ground granite base and column, stainless steel construction and ergonomic design combined with a 5.7" TFT LCD Touch Screen. This system provides full operator control and selection of options and functions via an intuitive icon system allowing operational and functional simplicity that is second to none.

The precision spindle system is fully interchangeable and utilises a one piece cartridge - eliminating the need for adaptors and the errors associated with their use.

Also included with our E236N model is our DPP software package. Working via your DNC system DPP converts measured tool data into CNC code for direct loading into the machine controller and associated tool offset pages (First twenty uses free - Dongle option).

Elbo Controlli-NIKKEN E460N Tool Presetter

The increased cross section and size of the column gives added stability up to 600mm and this theme is continued with revised axis carriages that also deliver increased reliability. The mechanical axis brake and control system have been completely updated from the previous model and finally, and most noticeably, the original pendant & operator panel are now combined in to one single touch screen system that is located away from the camera and column.

The latest E460N Tool Presetting machine has been developed as the second level option for our new generation of advanced tool presetting machines.

Designed to be bench mounted the E460N features a ground granite base and column, stainless steel construction and ergonomic design combined with a TFT 15” colour touch screen. The Touch Screen provides full operator control and selection of options and functions via an intuitive menu system - these new electronics provide operational and functional simplicity that is second to none. One major new feature of the E460N is the ability to rotate the spindle/tool through 360 degrees and the presetter automatically saves and displays the maximum radius/diameter and length for the tool.

The precision spindle system is fully interchangeable and utilises a one piece cartridge (backward compatible with the previous E450N model) - eliminating the need for adaptors and the errors associated with their use. The new system also provides a vacuum clamping system for positive location and security of the tool location within the spindle.

Also included with our E460N model is our TdSIX software package. Working via your DNC system, TdSIX converts measured tool data into CNC code for direct loading into the machine controller and associated tool offset pages.

The system also includes a Post Processor utility which enables tool offsets to be instantly converted into the correct code to suit numerous CNC machine toolcontrollers.

Unlike similar systems numerous Post Processor variations are included within the system as standard. All are customisable and editable to meet individual machine requirements.

Elbo Controlli-NIKKEN Hathor SIX Tool Presetter

The Hathor SIX Tool Presetting machine is designed completely free-standing on its own integral base; Hathor SIX features ground granite and stainless steel construction combined with a large digital camera and touch screen menu system – these new electronics provide operational and functional simplicity that is second to none.

The precision spindle system is fully interchangeable and utilises a one piece cartridge - eliminating the need for adaptors and the errors associated with their use. Incorporated within the spindle is our innovative universal mechanical clamping system with electronic tool clamping confirmation.

Also included with our Hathor SIX model is our TdSIX software package. Working via your DNC system, TdSIX converts measured tool data into CNC code for direct loading into the machine controller and associated tool offset pages.

The Hathor SIX is the second of three models which are manufactured to order. For a more prompt delivery of a stock machine the E346i, E460N, Kyhan and Amon Ra, as our four standard models, are always readily available directly from the Euro Centre.

Elbo Controlli-NIKKEN 66B/68B Tool Presetter

Our 66B/68B Tool Presetting machines has been developed as the 'entry level' higher spec option for our advanced tool presetting machines. Compared to the lower E346i and E460N models the construction and design offers considerable advantages:

- Designed to be completely free-standing on its own integral base; the 66B/68B features ground granite and stainless steel construction combined with a large digital camera and touch screen menu system – these new electronics provide operational and functional simplicity that is second to none.

- The high precision spindle system is fully interchangeable and utilises a one piece cartridge with full mechanical tool clamping (pneumatically drawing the tool pullstud into the taper cone) - eliminating the need for adaptors and the errors associated with their use. The construction of this system has to be 'seen to be believed' and is more akin to a machine tool spindle than a tool presetter spindle!

- All axis movements on the 66B/68B are servo controlled with absolutely no operator contact with the column. This drastically increases machine accuracy and repeatability over similar machines which incorporate the movement via a manual handle mounted on the column.

Our E46LTW is a completely new model for 2016 redesigned and reengineered from the ground up! The brand new concept ergonomic platform is completely free-standing on its own integral base; the NEW E46LTW features oversized ground granite and stainless steel construction combined and equipped with a 22’’ HD touch-screen monitor. The touch screen system is innovatively portrait mounted for easy viewing and operation. The screen layout and simple to use icon based software design, which is spilt into two distinct sections, not only displays visible images of the current tool and profile, but additionally allows access to the full functionality and new capabilities of the software and integral tool management system.

The precision spindle system is fully interchangeable and can accommodate cartridges for all types of machine tapers covering HSK, ISO, VDI, BT CAPTO, etc. Incorporated within the spindle is our innovative universal mechanical clamping system with electronic tool clamping confirmation.

The innovative, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS LINUX based, software system features automatic recognition of the spindle via SP-ID (NFC - Spindle Identification System). This system allows the Presetter to identify each spindle cartridge as it is loaded and pinpoints or suggests the correct machine origins, whenever the spindle is changed.

The Presetter features numerous outputs including several USB ports and a network capability. This allows for the transfer of post processed tool offset data from the tool management system, via a network or even memory stick, to the numerical control of individual machine tools(depending on both the network and CNC controller capability).

The E46LTW is equipped with the original camera as on the E46L model (providing the normal tool measurement along with inspection and geometry capabilities from the front) but in addition a secondary high resolution swivel camera (60X magnification with, in addition, 2X and 4X digital zoom capability) to allow and facilitate detailed inspection and geometry functions from both the side and top of the tool profile. This additional capability is particularly useful not only for CNC machinists but also benefits tool manufacturers to precisely measure linear and geometrical features of the tool profile.

This top of the range tool presetting machine has been developed as a more cost effective equivalent to competitor tool inspection machines.

Completely free-standing on its own integral base; Amon Ra-TW features ground granite and stainless steel construction. All movements are servo drived guaranteeing ultimate precision. The single high-definition screen is linked to two outstanding optical cameras with digital zoom capabilities. The system employs industrial PC architecture providing operational and functional simplicity that is simple to learn and even incorporates additional capabilities focussed specifically on tool geometry.

The patented precision spindle system is fully interchangeable and utilises a one piece cartridge - eliminating the need for adaptors and the errors associated with their use. Incorporated within the spindle is an innovative universal pneumatic clamping system.

Integrated within the innovative software package is a complete tool management system and network port. Working via your DNC system this can convert measured tool data into CNC code for direct loading into your machine controller and associated tool offset pages. Also included with the system as standard is full WI-FI connectivity.

Further capabilities, on both cameras, include the ability to import and export .dxf CAD profiles for detailed checking and comparison on the full high-definition 23” screen.

90 degree swivel secondary camera system (TWin)

- The innovative 90º swivel secondary camera system allows any cutting tools to be viewed from the top (tool end) and also from the side of the tool
- It is possible to measure the tool in the traditional manner with the traditional first camera and then to check / inspect the geometry of the tool at up to an incredible 70x zoom with the second swivel camera

Nikken provide numerous options for manual machine based measurements and workpiece setting. Over the years we have become the pioneer for many solutions and devices to suit these precise applications.

HEIGHT PRESETTER - HP

The Nikken height presetter is designed not only as a fast effective setting gauge for workpieces and tools alike but can also be used and an aid to measuring and adjusting boring systems or reamers e.t.c.

As versatile on a lathe as it is on a machining centre the HP series effectively eliminates the need for test cutting and allows your operations to run smoothly directly after the initial setting.

Our height presetters are available in three variants; Mechanical types HP100 & HP150 for any application along with the compact HP50K which relies on conductivity between the workpiece and tool being measured.

3D SENSOR - UMT or UNIVERSAL MICRO TOUCH

Our Micro-Touch system enables instantaneous detection of a workpiece or component by means of a red lamp indicator and audible 'beep'. Originally the system relied on conduction (effectively the Micro_touch makes a circuit with a metallic component/part) however; this limitation has now been completely eliminated by the introduction of our new 'X' type version.

The UMTX adopts its own revolutionary 'internal contact system' which makes it ideal for non-conductive workpieces or applications. Operation is identical to the standard UMT without the restrictions or limitations of material or component.

MICRO STAND - UDS

Our Micro stand is the ideal base to mount your dial test indicator for clocking or aligning you parts or equipment.

The system features two arms which incorporate a ball joint mechanism at both ends of the assembly. This design effectively allows complete freedom of movement in any direction such as vertical, lateral, longitudinal or rotational. If the arm is outstretched horizontally it is capable of effectively reaching up to 300mm.

Locking is provided by a simple hand wheel which instantly and effectively fixes the position of the arm. The ball joint system makes the Micro stand the quickest and easiest to use system on the market.

TOUCH POINT SENSOR - TP

Our Touch point sensor is a highly sensitive position sensor. Effectively the system is very simple to use and operates by lighting an indicator light the moment the contact ball is very slightly deflected from its housing.

As with the UMT the system works by conduction so is only suitable for metallic contact applications.
