During April 2018 WD Hearn signed with LK Metrology and became their South African agent. 

At the beginning of May WD Hearn signed with Anca CNC Machines and became their South African agent for Tool and Cutter Grinders.

WD Hearn has launched the new Mistubishi M800 CNC control and will have it on demo at their Cape Town Inhouse exhibition in November.

In developing the M800/M80 Series, Mitsubishi went back to the drawing board and completely reexamined their cutting-edge control

WD Hearn have been appointed the sole distribution rights for YuShine Vertical Boring Mills and Vertical Turning Centers in South Africa.

In June 2017 WD Hearn appointed Johan Neveling as Technical Director of the company.

Johan is based at the Johannesburg offices and has been handling Applications for WD Hearn countrywide since 2011.

WD Hearn is gearing up for the Machine Tools Africa 2017 (MTMA) exhibition, and this year we will have our biggest stand ever, totalling 300m2 of floor space in Hall 7 across 4 stands; Stand C05, C06, C08 and D05.

WD Hearn celebrated its 80 years in business in March 2017!

Join us at our annual in-house exhibition at our Cape Town showroom in Epping on the 24th and 25th November from 10am – 5pm. There will be individual product seminars and demonstrations throughout the day.

During August 2016 WD Hearn visited CC Machinery for a multiple machine sign-off. The Complex Swiss Type Turning Centers are going to CAMBRO Tools and Components CC in Cape Town.
