During August 2016 WD Hearn visited CC Machinery for a multiple machine sign-off. The Complex Swiss Type Turning Centers are going to CAMBRO Tools and Components CC in Cape Town.

During August 2016 WD Hearn visited Leadwell in Taiwan. This was their 7th visit since 2010.

During June 2016 WD Hearn service engineers Mike Clayton, Chris Alcock and Johan Neveling attended Mitsubishi EDM and WEDM training in Germany. The intensive and highly technical training has given our engineers indepth knowledge of these supreme quality EDM and WEDM machines.

In 2015 WD Hearn visited Kitamura precision machinery in Japan. The visit was a huge success and WD Hearn agreed to become the companies sole representation in South Africa.

On the 14th of March WD Hearn hosted the official launch of their brand new technology center in Kempton Park, Johannesburg. The launch featured demonstrations on various products including the Sisma SWA150 Laser Welder, Nikon MCAx3.0+ & MMDx100, Siemens 828D and Renishaw Probing.  

On the 15th on July 2013 WD Hearn launched a training room at their head office in Cape Town. The company will be offering training courses in Siemens CNC software to machine operators.
